PS. Personal note:

Last week was Spring Break so Sophie and I spent two days together, including an overnight. The first day we went to a local park near her house, the library, and a beautiful park full of ponds, spring flowers, and many, many waterfowl. It was a perfect day and we can’t wait to go back.
The next day we went to OMSI—Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. It was our first visit so we took a little time finding the age-appropriate places for Sophie, but she did find her niche and, again, can’t wait to go back.
Last week was my birthday. I was touched that so many of you took the time to wish me a “Happy Birthday,” especially those on Facebook. How did you figure it out? The evening before my birthday I was treated to a wonderful dinner at Becky, Amanda, and Sophie’s house. Bruce happened to be in town so he was able to join us as well.
I spent several hours of the actual day, sitting in uncomfortable chairs at my public library, waiting for the AARP tax person to check my taxes. It was worth it because he found a mistake, saving me $200. The day got much better at a Stone Soup Supper with Bridge City Friends Meeting. We all brought vegetables, put them in a pot and had a very tasty soup to eat. We also heard a presentation from the Oregon Food Bank.

In Friendship,
Nancy
